1. Who we are

The Safe Trader ("TST", "we", "our", "us") is a trading-education service operated out of Rohini, New Delhi and New Ashok Nagar, Delhi. TST is currently run as a sole-proprietor operation by Pratyaksh Bedi; a registered legal entity is being set up and these details will be updated here once complete.

2. Information we collect

We collect the minimum information needed to deliver our service:

• Contact details you provide — name, email, phone, WhatsApp number — when you use the contact form, enrol in a course, or reach out to us.
• Payment details — processed entirely by our payment gateway (details shown at checkout). We do not see or store full card numbers, UPI IDs or bank credentials.
• Course progress — attendance, assignment submissions, and mentor feedback tied to your enrolment.
• Technical data — IP address, browser, device, and anonymised usage analytics (pages viewed, session length) via first-party or privacy-respecting analytics.

3. How we use it

• To deliver the course you paid for — access, reviews, mentor communication.
• To reply to enquiries and send onboarding / billing emails.
• To improve the site and the curriculum in aggregate (we do not profile individual students).
• To comply with Indian tax, accounting and any regulatory obligations.

We do not sell, rent or lease your personal information to any third party. We do not run ad-retargeting pixels that share your identity with advertisers.

4. Marketing communication

Enrolled students may receive course-related emails and WhatsApp messages (class reminders, batch updates). Promotional messages are only sent after explicit opt-in, and every message includes an unsubscribe link.

5. Data sharing

We share data only with service providers strictly necessary to run the site:

• Our payment gateway — to process your payment securely.
• Hosting / email providers — to serve the site and deliver email.
• Law enforcement — only where required by a valid Indian legal process.

6. Data retention

Enrolment and payment records are retained for at least 7 years as required under Indian tax law. Marketing subscriber lists are kept until you unsubscribe. Contact-form messages are deleted after 12 months unless they became part of an enrolment.

7. Your rights

Under the DPDPA 2023 and the IT Act SPDI Rules, you can:

• Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Ask us to erase your data (subject to statutory retention).
• Withdraw consent for marketing at any time.

8. Security

Access to our systems is restricted to authorised personnel, all passwords are hashed, and we use HTTPS across the site. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take the safeguards above as a baseline.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this page from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes will be notified to enrolled students by email.
