Do I need any prior trading experience to join? +
No. Level 1 (Foundation) starts at absolute zero — what markets are, how candles work, installing MT5. By week six you place structured demo trades. If you already trade, you can skip to a placement test and enter at the level that matches your skill.
How is TST different from a signal or tips service? +
We never give calls, signals or tips. We teach a repeatable trading model, then review the trades you place on your own account using that model. Signal services sell you dependency; a school teaches you to stand alone.
What exactly is the 6-Month Performance Commitment? +
Levels 2 and 3 carry a 6-month Performance-Linked Refund Clause. Level 4 (SMC Elite) carries a separate 3-month clause. This is a conditional refund policy — not a profit assurance. A refund review is triggered only if the student did not reach PNL+ despite following the defined strategy and risk management. The clause is void if the student trades outside the rules — emotional trading, over-leveraging or ignoring stop-loss. Outcome is subject to institute review of trade journal and broker statements. Full terms: see the Refund Policy.
Can I get a refund if I change my mind? +
Course fees are non-refundable once enrolment is confirmed and classes have commenced. That is why every student is asked to do a free 30-minute consultation before paying — use the call to check fit. The only route to a refund is the Performance-Linked Refund Clause, reviewed case-by-case. Read the full Refund Policy.
What trading capital do I need to start? +
Level 1 (Foundation) is group-batch and uses demo + small live accounts (₹5,000–10,000). Level 2 onward is one-on-one with a max of 3 students per mentor. By Level 3 most students operate ₹50,000+ on the risk model taught in class. Level 4 (SMC Elite) is invite-only and assumes meaningful working capital.
Online or in-person — which should I pick? +
Same syllabus, same mentor, same recording library. In-person (Rohini, New Ashok Nagar) gets more whiteboard time and peer accountability. Online gets more chart-share and is geographically flexible. Pick the one you can actually commit to weekly.
How are batches sized? +
Level 1 cohorts are up to 30 students. From Level 2 onwards every batch is capped at 3 students per mentor. That constraint is real — we turn down more applicants than we accept whenever mentor slots are full.
Do you help with broker setup and taxation? +
Broker setup yes — we walk you through Zerodha, Upstox, ICICI Direct and MetaTrader as part of onboarding. Taxation is covered at an educational level only; consult a CA for your specific return.
Will TST give me investment advice or manage my money? +
No. TST is a trading-education service. We are not SEBI-registered as an investment adviser (INA) or research analyst (INH), we never manage client capital, and nothing in the course is a recommendation to buy or sell a specific security.
Why is Level 4 (SMC Elite) confidential? +
Level 4 teaches three proprietary Smart Money Concept strategies traded live with the mentor. By the terms of enrolment, Level 4 students are bound to strict confidentiality — strategies cannot be shared, reposted or disclosed to any third party. Level 4 is one-on-one only, invite-based, and carries a separate 3-month review window under the Performance-Linked Refund Clause.
